The GHA U18 team started this season short of players (as the previous years private school players couldn't play for both school and club), they were missing a coach, and all unsure if they would get a game.

A brilliant coach volunteered to support them, and they all brought a mate or two to training just before the season kicked off. The aim was to get enough boys on the park to get them playing some games.

Hard training, great camaraderie, and a desire to beat the odds with a mostly new team, saw them achieve great success.

They won every game this season (some of which by huge margins), they won their league, and finished the season off today by beating a team in a league above them to win the Glasgow Shield.

The celebrations were a very fitting conclusion to the season. Well done boys… True fairy tale stuff!
