In 1998 we established [url=http://www.blipfoto.com/entry/4174102]Lollipops Playland[/url] in Christchurch and developed the playland in Antigua St. We were lucky to find a very talented artist who painted these fabulous murals starring our mascot – Lollipop the Cat. They looked much better when the circus themed party rooms were in place, although the paintwork still looks good after 14 years – that’s a great recommendation for Resene paints!! It was a fun business to be involved in, but we sold it in 2000 to move on with other plans.

The building is steel framed so stood up well to the earthquakes, but a lot of [url=http://www.blipfoto.com/entry/4174705]liquefaction come up through the floors[/url] – and what a mess that was!!! Today I noticed that the frontage had been removed so stopped to have a look. The interior has been gutted and the digger is removing the concrete floor. I guess that will be replaced, the interior painted, and then the building will ready to start life again as the home of another business.
