I had to take my wee jazz to Honda today for repair to a fault in the door latch – a recall by Honda so no cost to me, other than a bit of time.

It only took an hour, so I wandered along St Asaph St to High St and then back along Tuam St. Interesting to see the changes – some new ‘temporaryish looking’ office blocks, a couple of new bars and a very attractive cafe in St Asaph St, several closed roads, diggers and trucks, men in fluoro jackets, a zillion road cones ……………and a lot of empty spaces and damaged buildings which haven’t changed in 3 years.

I detoured to take a record shot of The Town Ball. The inflatable ball was at the Rugby World Cup in Paris advertising tourism in NZ with an impressive video presentation, and then again on the waterfront in Auckland when the RWC was held there. Now it is a popular sportsbar in Manchester St.
