We made another dash up tot he top of Skye today, this time for a picnic in the sun.

But not just any picnic, a picnic on the beach.

But not just any beach, a coral beach.

It’s like they accidentally picked up a beach from the Caribbean and plonked it down in the middle of a daisy filled field in north Scotland.

It’s not technically coral, it’s a dried algae, but it looks and feels like coral. And with the sun out it felt like exactly the opposite of what you associate with Scotland.

CJ loved picking up handfuls of coral and letting it run through his fingers. And burying Puddle in it. And throwing stones into the water.

A lovely, memorable and surprising day out.
