Today felt like my ‘old days’ as a business traveller. Up in a strange bed, breakfast for a change to last the day. Hotel wifi, VPN and a quiet spot to get my days work done.

Out to a meeting. A bit up and down and will have to see what tomorrow brings on it.

Then a short skip up the road to a new hotel. Fire up the laptop again and wrap up the loose ends.

The difference was, I wasn’t in a foreign city alone. When closing time rolled around I was out to have a beer with my old work mates. A really good bunch who I miss dearly.
