We had a very busy day exploring the historic walled city of York.

The minster first – a magnificent cathedral, tea at Betty’s, Barley Hall, The Shambles, the Jorvik centre, Fairfax House – the Georgian winter home of Viscount Fairfax. Finally to the Chocolate Story where we learnt the history of chocolate making in York, the home of Rowntree chocolate. Then we had a chance to sample the products and make/decorate a chocolate bar of our own
