A walk into the city through the university and along the towpaths. Lunch by the canals then a wander through the central city and up to the top level of the library where we could look over the city in all directions.
Then walked home again via Chinatown, Edgebaston, and one of the many parks dotted throughout the city.
As our friends describe it, the city has no major historical or significant attractions, but is a very pleasant and easy place to live with so many trees, green spaces and art/theatre areas.
A fine day for a long walk (about 8 miles) to explore new places with old friends who we haven’t seen for 3 years.
Thanks C&B
