Last year saw V cover a fair amount of training miles, and successfully complete a couple of long distance sportives (68k and 100k). This was all achieved on a Kona flat bar hybrid bike. Although it was nice to ride, it wasn’t exactly the ideal machine to use for those challenges.
Today’s new arrival of her fabulous Specialized Ruby Expert (full carbon frame, Ultegra groupset, weighing only 7.3kg) means she is well set up for this year’s planned cycling adventures.
The first endeavour for 2015 is a 107k sportive for the both of us in April. Time to get training 🙂
NB: those cheap horrid pedals will be replaced with clipless ones very quickly!
