We had one of those days where we weren’t really aiming to do much… but it ended up being amazing.
Rugby, followed by brunch at a cafe with a soft play where CJ ran until he couldn’t run any more. It was then off to watch CJ be his cute self as he completed his first real money box spend.
We played for a while with his new toy, then S1 suggested we go do craft time at another place with a small soft play. CJ ran and ran and ran… things took longer than we planned so it was an emergency meal on the go much to CJ’s delight (“Chopsticks and rice!”). He ate and ate and ate, he loves using chopsticks.
By the end of the meal, the poor boy had run out of steam. He grabbed my arm and crawled onto my lap at the table. Oh so cute.
Home for another hours play with his toy cars and then a very tired little monkey was carried up to bed.
It’s days like this that remind me it’s not about having to do much… it’s all about doing stuff together.
