Through the looking glass

I popped into a careers fair in town today. It was an interesting design with about 40 companies and every potential candidate who applied to go was screened to ensure a level of quality (and I assume a mix of skills/levels).

It was very tech focused so the stereotypes were out in force. I felt almost a little out of place with a Marketing background but I like to think I can talk sql, php and data modelling with the best of them…

Which brings me nicely to tonights project finally going live. A complete re-do of s2.co.nz which in light of recent events will probably get a lot more use again as it’s been pretty neglected for about a decade up to now.

There’s still lots to do, but there’s also plenty of time to get to that.

  1. I really like this – where is it taken from?

    • On the main road down from the castle through one of the many little closes which run off the side.

Sometimes the light on the other side might be even brighter than where you are.

The road to where you are has been exciting and rewarding at times (and not so much at others), but either way you can’t change it. The best advice I can give right now is to spend little time looking back (and try to smile when you do), and put all your energy into what might happen next for you and your family.

    See you Sunday!
