I rarely sit and watch sport during the day  but today was an exception.  The last few overs of the NZ innings were so exciting.  Guptill set a ODI record scoring 237 not out – the highest score ever  in a World Cup, the second highest score in any ODI, and only the 6th double century scored in an ODI.
The West indies were faced with a daunting task to beat NZ’s total of 393 – the highest score ever made in a World Cup and the second highest score in any ODI.
They put up a reasonable fight with runs coming fast and furious in fours and sixes, but were no match and finished 143 runs short, so the Black Caps are now through to the semi final on Tuesday 🙂
