9 years ago was a very exciting day for us when a very cute little baby boy was born – our first grandchild 🙂  And today you are ready to take on the roads of Scotland with a brand new road bike – brilliant.  Enjoy the rides this year with your mum and dad teaching you all the tricks you need to know 🙂

This is a photo of your dad with his first road bike ………… taken 31 years ago when he was 9, but it wasn’t a birthday present as he won the bike in a treasure hunt competition.  

We had just moved to Christchurch and spent a Sunday afternoon walking through the central city following clues to find answers to questions, and much to our surprise and delight F won this bike – which was very modern and fast in those days.  It doesn’t look near as flash as your new bike, but he rode this bike everywhere ……….. until he got his driver’s licence when he was 15 🙂
