Arrived in Hanmer for a couple of days to open up our wee house after the winter.  Turned on the water, then heard a suspicious sound in the shower wall.  Sure enough water was seeping onto the bathroom floor and pouring out under the house ……… and its Saturday so no plumber. Five years on and we are back to no running water in the house!!! 

Only solution was to fill some pots and pans with water then turn the mains tap off again.  Not exactly the relaxing couple of days we had planned, but the sun was shining, the walks were great, and we can turn the water on for short bursts when we run out of water – but no shower tomorrow morning!!  However  I guess it could have been a lot worse, and now we await the plumber to find out if the leak can be repaired, or if we need a new shower – which definitely wasn’t in the plan.
