The fire is still raging up the valley and along the Port HIlls.  Another fire which started near the SIgn of the Kiwi is also causing a lot of problems, and the ‘norwester is not helping.  Masses of firemen and helicopters are in action and hopefully they will have the fires under control later in the day.
