I can’t believe we’ve been married for 10 years.

To celebrate I managed to track down a whisky which was casked the year we were married and bottled in the last year.

It wasn’t easy to find one, realistically it’s a very young whisky at 9 1/2 years. A good whisky would mature a lot across the next decade, getting better and better with time. In saying that, it was an incredibly well balanced and full for such a short time.

And I suppose that’s why I thought it was the perfect gift, it’s a metaphor in a bottle that fits us so well. What a cracking way to celebrate the milestone.
