18 years ago we took our boys to Gold Coast and Noosa for a holiday.  At Noosa we stayed in a motel on this corner which was in the middle of nowhere, other than a few holiday houses and motels along the riverfront.  We walked into Noosa and it was mostly empty sections. Now it is full of apartments, holiday accommodation, restaurants, cafes, and endless activities.  We did take the boys out on the river in self-drive putt putt boats which they loved, and we went fishing off a jetty, but that about all there was to do – and that was all they needed as there was a pool or river to swim in , and a good walk to the beach (beside a very minimalistic Hastings Street)

How things have changed – I think I liked it better then when it was peaceful and so beautiful.
