It’s been 10 years since I posted my first daily photo on blip.
It’s been a roller coaster of a trip. From travel to surgeries. From buying our first house to going through a liquidation. From he loss of loved ones to the arrival of our two amazing boys.
The liquidation of blipfoto turned our lives on it’s head. It would have been easier for me to walk away from posting these daily photos than it was to continue. For the first 18 months posting photos was just a reminder of the dream we’d had that we hadn’t managed to achieve…
As it stands, I am currently 365 photos behind – this entry marks 10 years and 9 years of photos. I have photos for each of those missing days, but I haven’t posted them all yet. Until a few months ago I wasn’t sure if I would…
But I look back on the 10 years now. I look back on the amazing record of the lives we have lived. It has highs, it has lows, it has dreams and hopes and new adventures.
Most importantly it has our boys growing up day by day. This record is an amazing gift to them in years to come.
Oh how life has changed in 10 years. I knew when we arrived in the UK it would be an adventure, but I had no idea how wild the ride would be at times or how much we’d grow and learn in 10 years.
I look at each day now and it’s clear, life is a long term game… when times seem hard, we’ve knuckled down and dug on through, learning a lot as we go. Things work out in the long run if you make them.
10 years of life well lived.
