S1 suggested we go out to the Scottish Seabird Centre for a visit and a taste of Scottish wildlife for our visitor.

She booked the two of us on a 12 person rib for a trip out on the water (while she looked after CJ).

It was amazing.

I honestly thought the rock had a white top until we got close enough to see it was actually covered in thousands of white gannets.

Nature at it’s best.

And then home for an afternoon BBQ and beer in the beautiful Scottish sun.

This is the other side of Scotland that people don’t realise exists when they think of the stereotype rolling hills and misty mountains (and midges and rain).
