Hawkes Bay is a very productive wine and fruit growing area. The pink areas in my image are the blossom trees along the Tukituki river. Te Mata is a well known winery in this valley.

The peak that we are standing on is used for paragliding – would have been an exhillarating ride today as there was a very cold southerly gale blowing. Maybe that was why they weren’t operating!!
