Every January Christchurch hosts the World Buskers Festival – 10 days of brilliant entertainment by 47 of the worlds best acts.

Last night our photography class went to the festival take action shots in the dark. This was a challenge for me with a very basic telephoto lens – and of course a high ISO meant lots of noise!!

I had no great expectations of achieving any success but was determined to blip an image from the amazing fire show.
