Yay – Rory starts big school today ……….. and we know you are very excited and ready to go with your new schoolbag, drink bottle and lunch box 🙂

For special days in our grandchildren’s lives in England, I am going to show a little slice of their dad’s life in NZ when he was their age. So Rory, this is your Dad on his first day at school. How do you like his bright orange schoolbag – what colour is yours? There were 5 boys in his class and 10 girls – I wonder if he remembers the names of some of them? I know there weren’t any called Rory or Isla.

Have a fun time at big school and maybe you will soon be able to read some new stories to Isla, and you might be able to write a letter to us 🙂

The children in Christchurch can’t go to school this week as they are all closed until next Monday because of the earthquake that made our houses, schools, shops and work places shake really bad.
