Over the past couple of weeks interesting parcels have been arriving by courier at our front door, and they have been hidden out of sight ……… until today when I could open them all 🙂

A canvas print of our family, taken by [url=http://www.blipfoto.com/s2]s2[/url] was a delight to receive. Beautiful plants, jewellery, flowers, books and trinkets also meant I have been very spoilt today.

What really had me puzzled were two large boxes from a friend. Opened the first – a plant and voucher and a book 🙂 What could possibly be in the other box? Quite heavy, very fragile, and intriguing – so I very gently removed the bubble wrap to spy what appeared to be an odd looking brown box on a tray!?!?! What a surprise when I removed it 🙂

This is to be shared by gd and me as we both have a “round numbered” birthday this year. It is so appropriate as we have booked a cruise to celebrate ………….. and the tags bring back memories of many other places we have holidayed with our friend 🙂

We can’t bring ourselves to cut this cake – it is a work of art and has to be admired for quite a while yet 🙂

I had in mind a very quiet uneventful day, but we have had a steady stream of phone calls and visitors so it has become a rather exciting day and very enjoyable 🙂
