The mist hovered over the city this morning – until the sun warmed and gave us a glorious clear sky day.

Went to Lyttelton with a lensbaby group – so much destruction there that it was hard to get enthused about photographing anything ………… but the coffee and natter was refreshing 🙂

I took a couple of lensbaby shots that I like, but decided to blip our view of Pegasus Bay this morning – just for the record. I wonder how many of these city buildings will still be standing in a years time.

The dark roofed building on the right hand side of the pic, in front of the flag, is the ’tilting’ Grand Chancellor Hotel. Demolition of it will start in the next 2-3 weeks and take almost a year, but there will be no access for local business owners into the area until it is less than half the height it is now.
