One thing I have really enjoyed about blip is that some days I can take an hour or two, sneak off to a favourite place, with my camera and one lens, meander about and snap whatever appeals. Time to explore, find peace and quietness, and a chance to be creative. And then I come home to this hugely supportive blip community who are happy to share my day, and my experimenting.
Unfortunately most of my favourite places are destroyed, damaged, inaccessible, or I just don’t feel comfortable being there. This is starting to turn blip into a major challenge for me as creativity is definitely waning.
I decided I wasn’t going to post my 730th blip until I had spent time, just for me, in a place I love, enjoying the art of taking photos.
I checked on line and found that the Conservatories at the Botanical Gardens were again open …… perfect. I love being there and am intrigued by the shapes and colours of the various tropical plants. I can lose myself there for at least an hour ….. so off I go 🙂
Park the car, brisk walk through the gardens in a bitterly cold wind, past the barricades closing off the museum, the Curators House, the river, the band rotunda ……… and the conservatories 🙁
So much for that plan!!
I can’t have another blipless day!!
New challenge required.
Special blipdays are a time to try something new, experiment, extend the boundaries, step outside the square, aim high ………………. hence I have a sharp, harsh, architectural image of a feature window at home ……. instead of a gentle, soft, macro of a hothouse flower.
Life is all about being adaptable and ready to change direction at any time 🙂
