Headed to Hanmer today but just before we left home we had a ring from our neighbour to say there was a cat in our house ……….. but no one has been there for 10 days ……ooops …. last person there must have shut a cat inside!!!!

Fortunately our neighbour could let the poor wee thing out, and she said it did look okay but took off like a bat out of hell!! Of course we were very apprehensive about what mess we might find. Luckily there was not much mess but quite a catty smell so opened all the doors and windows. As it got cold at night I lit some candles to help remove the smell and the glow against the timber wall appealed.

I still can’t understand how a cat could be shut in our tiny wee house !?!?!? Hope we can find the owners tomorrow to check that it is ok.
