OK…. I hate wet days….

I am currently sitting in my lounge typing this entry instead of being at work. The reason.. all the roads are closed due to either flooding, fallen trees or rock/mud slides. The whole of Lower Hutt has now been blocked off, you can’t get in or out of Wainui and I can’t get to Upper Hutt as State Highway 2 and 58 (Haywoods Hill) are both closed.

Now normally this wouldn’t be a major problem except that I have a heap of work on. I did try to go to work, however didn’t get very far. Half-way down Wadestown road was a fallen tree blocking the whole road, and then I was stuck in the Terrace Tunnel for 10 mins after a tree fell onto a car at the exit.

So I am now at home, doing the little work that I can from home.

In the latest road report – everything is still closed!! However they might be opening SH2 soon (this is the one I need to get to work)
