Went into the city for a quick look today and, no matter which way I looked, the view was pretty similar to this.

Lots of “coming down”, a little “going up”.

Lots of empty spaces ………… all cleared and looking tidy.

Lots of broken footpaths, puddles of water, 2m high wire mesh fences.

And an abundance of diggers, cranes, trucks, fluoro jackets and safety helmets.

So much has been done, but there is so much more to do.

See on the news tonight the blueprint for the new city development is due to be released on 27th July. Hopefully that will restore some enthusiasm for rebuilding our city, and not be the cause of dissention and dispute.
