What a weekend. It was action packed and full of carnage – and that was just the drive to the speedway!

The flooding and winds up country have created havoc. What a mess!

Anyway, we finally made it to Palmy and had a great time. Friday nights qualifying was great. There is nothing like V8 monsters smacking the living daylights out of each other at top speed. Unfortinuatley Canterbury missed out on getting throught o the quarter finals. They were rather unlucky really as their tactics were easily one of the best out there. Regardless, they did alot better than most people would have expected, and they all had grins from wear to ear afterwards.

The second night of racing rolled round on the Sat and all was going well. Or at least it was until about 4 races from the end, and then the rain came. They managed to finish the race that was in progress, which was the 3rd / 4th run off, but the final was postponed until the Sunday….

Anyway, that will do for tinight. I have a heap of photos, so I’ll put some up in the photo of the week over the next week or so and I’ll continue the story there.
