Lazy day with a long lunch at The Pear Tree at Kerikeri inlet, then a wander to the river crossing. This was the site of a road bridge, until a couple of years ago when a flood destroyed it, but now it can only be crossed on foot if the river level is not too high. It is a very pretty picnic area.
