My gentle wee mum sleeps a lot these days.

She doesn’t know who I am but I usually get a smile when she wakens and sees a friendly face. Sometimes she doesn’t wake but smiles when I hold her hand, and sometimes she just sleeps through my visit.

Short frequent visits are the best option now, so fortunately her hospital is only 10 minutes from my home.
