[i]backblip of holiday in Wanaka[/i]

Drove up the side of the lake to the Matukituki river outlet so GD could do some fishing, and I could take a few pics.

A beautiful spot, but unfortunately we could only take home photos – no fish 🙁

However I’m sure fishing is more about enjoying the experience than it is about catching the fish 🙂 A bit like photography really!!

This is home territory for me as I lived and went to school in Alexandra. Day trips to Wanaka were a regular holiday treat for water skiing and fishing, and tramping in the Matukituki valley was a annual school event.
