S1 & S2 took us to the gannet colony on Bass Rock near North Berwick today.

A 30 min or so by boat to a “white” island , that turned out to be white because it was covered totally with gannets – in every nook and cranny and nesting place possible.

Very intriguing!

A nearby island has thousands of puffins, but not in September as they are still way up north in colder climes.
