Well we all know that Christmas is coming up and yet again the stores are bombarding us with sales and late night offers.

One thing I have found this year is the increase in email marketing. As in special deals for those who have a certain flyer that has been emailed around. It seems that every day I am getting new flyers. Some of which have been responsibly good deals.

One did catch my eye and on Wednesday I went down to Farmers in town here and it was surprising quiet (except the female changing rooms – which had a queue of 5-6 people at all times). What amazed me about the Farmers flyer was not the specials or the offers but the opening hours of the stores. They has stores closing at 7pm, 9pm and 11pm. The stupid thing was that Christchurch had half the stores that were open until 11pm where as the one in Auckland CBD closed at 7pm!!!!! And only a couple were open until 11pm!!!!
