Arrived at our holiday destination later than planned yesterday to learn that we are sharing the village with about 2000 Harleys. The owners were reasonably quiet last night but when they all set off on their Thunder Run today it was deafening.  But of course the machines are very impressiv – all shine, rev and rumble – and the favoured dress of the day was definitely black leather. Might be Monday before our peaceful holiday begins.
