I have started back at Capoeira again… and this afternoon I was meant to have 4 hours of Capoeira which would have been fun.
However, there was a double booking at the hall we were using!
My initial reaction was how does a double booking happen in this day in age with database systems coming out our ears, especially when both clubs had paid to use the hall – should they have realised that they had made twice as much this week than they should of?
But then again, I do tend to forget that not everyone uses Excel to track Everything they do, some people still use that funny stuff called paper.
I’m pretty sure, given that this was a school hall that the people involved should be able to work a computer, yet for some reason they insist on using a manual booking system that is clearly flawed.
I think the only clear solution is to ban paper from schools (mind you, this will probably happen voluntarily over the next few years anyway?).
