Its official… whether we like it or not Winter is now here.

Daylght savings has finished and I found myself walking home in the dark the other night.

Ive decided this year I am going to keep BBQ’ing for as long as possible. Just to prove that Winter cant beat me.

So strong is my BBQ spirit, that I decided I would have a competition – a BBQ Off.. But, the details of who I would compete with were a bit fuzzy… I mean surely competing against a mere mortal would not be fitting for such a mammouth BBQ Off.

I have spent days puzzleing… until yesterday

Last night at Random, Sarah turned to me and said… “If I was mother nature…”

It will be the “Frosty BBQ Race”!

That was when it occured to me – I shall have a BBQ Off against mother nature.

I shall keep my BBQ fired up at least once a week until after the First Canterbury Frost.

Now I dont mean just any frost. I mean a ‘crunchy frost’. One of those frosts so strong that it crunches audibly under foot.

So dear readers – I need your help. As I am not in CHCH, I need some voulinteers to assist in my frost measurement.
