we have some new members in the whanau

we’ve been looking for a while

but only wanted a small set up – not a big tank

but no one sells bowls any more

they are considered a no go apparently

something about not enough filtration and oxygen

and most people overcrowding them

and then, in a small french market we found one

a nice big bowl

big enough for a filter to fit in to solve the problems of normal bowls

and so we carried it all the way home from paris

today we brought some fish for it

I named mine ‘eiffel’

S1 named hers ‘notre-dame’

and suddenly, the house feels more like a home
