Last weekend we ventured into London to head to the Notting Hill Carnival.

It was a bit of a culture shock (in a good way) with so many people cramped into small streets. Had a fantastic day (and weekend in general).

We stayed with Mayo which was good, he acted as tour guide for us as we slowly worked out our way around the big smoke.

I think we’ll head back into London in a weekend or so as theres some things we want to do 🙂

Friday was officially the final day of ‘summer’ over here, and the days are growing shorter at an alarming rate. So, we thought what better way to see out our 2nd summer than with a BBQ on a beach…

There only setback was we aren’t near the coast, so we settled for a forest walk and a spot beside the lake just down the road. It was a nice and peaceful way to spend an afternoon!

Other than that its been a quiet weekend, with a bit of a spring clean around home and catching up on some sleep.
