Our backyard as come alive in the last few weeks,

Birds of all shapes and sizes hopping around

the rain falling softly, splashing in the pond

the flowers blooming

vines sprawling across the fence

lush green foliage everywhere.

Even our friendly squirrel is back.

I think we must have a wood spirit

watching over our garden.
