I’m so glad I spent my youth learning circus tricks
I sort of juggle as a nervous twitch
and a few weeks ago it saved me £800ish…
My lens had twisted slightly in my camera bag and hadn’t locked on
so I pulled it out of my bag, raised it to my eye, reached up to the lens to focus
and I felt the lens slip between my fingers
tumbling end over end towards the concrete
it flashed before me, my favoured lens shattering across the foot path
and in an instant
my hand slipped under it
and it landed softly in my hand
much like millions of juggling balls have many times in the past
A mate in the distance saw the whole thing, silhouetted against a street light
he came up half laughing, half in amazement
and for once, thousands of hours juggling suddenly made sense.
Pay back time all ways comes along eventually!
On a different note, springs here at last…
we’ll it was, until our heating broke tonight
so there’s a slight chill in the air.
Might be time for a nice warm bed
