I learnt an interesting fact this week, apparently it takes a lot more fuel to hover in a helicopter than it does to just fly around.

I suppose it’s kind of like riding a bike (standing still on a bike is a lot harder).

Anyway, this is the police helicopter. And today it was clearly chasing a car… it stopped, hovering about the local gypsy camp…

No doubt the footage will eventually turn up on “Road Wars” (the local police show focused on traffic cops).

I love that show, although I do get rather nervous that I’m going to end up showing up in the middle of it one day!
