What an amazing sight. Beacons of light flaring up in a slow moving line of light.

It’s the first time since the Romans ruled that this wall has seen such a sight.

We, were lucky enough to get to light one.

We were even luckier to get a beacon on one of the most impressive parts of the wall.

We are the last light on the cliff, right above the water in most of these photos

As far as our world heritage site experiences go this is a pretty special one.

(well worth the 900 miles of driving and the hours in the cold northern winds)

Sometimes I wonder what we are doing in this country, and then, before the thought has passed some amazing experience comes along and kicks any doubt for touch.

I’m not sure if people realise what they have when they have lived somewhere their whole life. Moving country was a real eye opener for us!
