Day one of the holiday…

The brief from S1 was ‘sunshine’ so we headed south to Portugal

We jumped on a plane with bookings for a rental car and our first nights accommodation…

It’s a liberating way to holiday.

Day one was simply about getting ourselves a few hours up the road.

We had read numerous reports of the driving in Portugal, none of them good… however day one was amazingly easy despite the strange car driving on the wrong side of the road. I have no idea what the reports of Portuguese drivers were all about?

We made it to our destination just in time to watch sunset over the 12th Templar Convent above the town. Magical, and a perfect start to the week.
