The [url=http://www.blipfoto.com/view.php?id=390277&month=10&year=2009]lovely lady[/url] who used to own this house told us there were hedgehogs in the garden

She used to feed them every day.

I said that if I saw them I’d feed them for her.

So tonight, with the sun having shone all day making the snow of winter turning to a distant memory,

these two popped out of hibernation and started snuffling their way around the garden.

They have clearly been well loved as I ran out to feed them and they didn’t seem at all worried about having a human walk up to them.

A small pile of Chicken and Lamb cat biscuits each and they looked very pleased with their new house mates

And with that, they snuffled off in search of some more beetles and worms.

It must be time for bed now as the owls are calling in the trees behind us…

It’s night like these that remind me what’s truely special about living in a small english village.
