I learnt about a new weather pattern today

I love things like this.

Noctilucent clouds. Clouds that are so high (beyond the edge of space) that they catch the sun long after the earth is dark

Very little is known about them… they are believed to be ice crystals but no one knows how they form so high.

The next two months should be perfect conditions for them (they appear in June/July and are best just after the 7 year minimum in the suns cycle of activity).
