It’s been a big busy week for the first week back in the office.
That called for a much needed drink after work to round out the Friday.
Watched a cool TED talk tonight about a 13 year old and what he wants to be when he grows up, he want’s to be “happy”.
I remember saying something similar when I first started work and my boss at the time took me aside and told me that wasn’t an “aim”. I apparently needed a business goal to get by in a corporate environment.
He was wrong.
I have always chosen jobs I enjoy. Sure I could earn more or work less, but neither of these matter as much to me as enjoying my job and the team I work with. This has always served me well, when I’m enjoying my work and team, I am more effective and perform better. My current role is no exception, I love my current job and this is a pretty cool team to work with.
