CJ helped us make dinner tonight.

He helped make the base, then spread it with sauce. I tore up the chicken and he put it on (while S1 sorted the avocado and cream cheese) then he was put in charge of the mozzarella topping.

He was so excited about helping that he burst into tears when we put it in the oven.

He stopped briefly when we turned the oven light on for him to see it. But ultimately he wanted to keep “making” rather than “cooking”.

He was actually a really useful helper, I think he’ll get to help out more in the kitchen if he’s this good each time.
