Heres an interesting idea… who owns your blog?
If you are blogging during work time, and your employer features in your blog, then you may be at risk should your blog become a number one world hit!
“Make no mistake: This is a BIG, STINKING issue, and one that’s best addressed sooner rather than later.
* Best case, ignoring the issue will allow your employer to ‘sell their interest’ in your weblog back to you when you leave.
* Worst case, your employer will want to make an example of you to other employees and sue you for ownership of your blog, your domain name, and all of your blog’s content.”
So far I have followed point 3 pretty well:
Be able to prove conclusively that you wrote your blog off hours..
In fact I have gone one better and I have simply been slack at updating the blog full stop… but it does ensure I havn’t been blogging at work!
