Married Life

Ok, so I’ve been putting off a diary update for a week now as it has been a very eventful month, and I don’t even know where to begin with an update.

Anyway, today I had to send an email to Cass, and I realised it has a pretty good update in it… so I have copied and pasted an excert of it below πŸ™‚

Just back from Holiday and have some big news πŸ™‚

But first of all, the wedding and honeymoon was fantastic! I have put up a few photos on our site just to placate people while I sort out the bulk of the photos and put up a real selection. Check it out at s2.co.nz/wedding_pics.

The day was fantastic, and we had an absolute ball. I’m not sure why everyone talks about being nervous on the day, as we were having way too much fun to be worried about anything ;-). The setting was fantastic, the weather was perfect, and all the guests had an absolute ball!

We then headed to Malaysia for a couple of weeks which was just amazing. I should point out this wasn’t your normal honeymoon as we took a whole tribe of friends and family with us (there were 10 of us in all). You see, Sarah and I get enough time alone in Auckland, so we thought we’d give an open invitation to anyone who wanted to join us πŸ™‚

We managed to pack a surprising amount into the time! Highlights were having half our breakfast stolen by monkeys, a day trip into the Malaysian rainforest (other than being attacked by wasps), bubbles on the beach under the full moon, the local markets, and 2 days in the big smoke (KL). Photos will follow soon, once I’ve had a chance to sort through them.

Anyway, onto the news…

On Thursday Sarah and I handed in our 4 week notice. We are off to the UK! I have accepted a job with VF-UK in Newbury (about 1 – 1.5 hours west of London). Sarah and I will be over there early May.

We are hoping to be out of our flat in around 4 weeks, so its going to be a busy time while we try and sell up everything that we have!

I hope that’s a good overview?

Anyway, if you know anyone in Auckland (or anywhere in NZ) that needs to set up a flat, wants a new TV etc, then just let me know – we have a whole flat to empty πŸ˜‰

After bumping into Shane in a cafe a few weeks ago I thought I’d sneak a peek to see if any wedding pics were up. Talk about great timing! Congrats to you both. You look fabulous and I’m pleased to see you so happy.
Best wishes to you both and to the rest of the family. Jillian πŸ™‚

  2. Good timing is right! Appologies if I was a bit distant in the cafe, I was preparing for my interview so I was a little preoccupied. S.
