I find the class system in the UK something of an oddity.

I also feel relatively privileged to not have to worry about it

Being a foreigner

with a funny accent

means I can put on an old t-shirt

and wander into a random pub in the back blocks

and strike up a conversation

alternatively

people are equally accepting if I’m in a top hat and tails

tinkling champagne flutes with high society.

I realise how luck that makes me

but the more of it I see

the more confused about the class system I become

I don’t condone prejudice,

not of any type

and the classes seems to be just the same to me
